Summary

Manage the accounting operations of a global multi-site contract manufacturing organization. Lead the financial consolidation process, reporting and accounting, and provide information to management for strategic policy making decisions. Coordinate with site controllers across global operations to ensure that the accounting and operational activities are properly analyzed, documented, and interpreted.  Supervise directly and indirectly all accounting functions: budgeting, cost accounting, general accounting, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll, etc. Reports to the Executive Vice President & Chief Financial Officer of the company.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Supervise all accounting functions of the organization
  • Oversee accounting staff, direct and indirect, throughout the Company's global operations
  • Complete financial consolidation of multiple foreign entities each period
  • Manage, analyze and interpret financial reports and documents
  • Develop, implement and monitor compliance with strong financial policies, process and procedures
  • Direct external/internal audits of company accounts
  • Coordinate tax return preparation by external accountants
  • Compute and pay all taxes, and any leasehold or contractual obligations
  • Prepare, evaluate and manage financial budget proposals
  • Manage foreign transaction and translation activities of the organization
  • Prepare reports required by banks, customers or regulatory agencies
  • Prepare quarterly board packages
  • Other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary

  • Candidates should possess working knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP)

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Certified Public Accountant
  • 10+ years combination of public accounting & corporate accounting experience
  • Financial and Accounting Standards & Regulations
  • Advanced MS Excel experience
  • Extensive Financial & ERP System Software experience
  • Financial and Accounting Standards & Regulations including
  • ASC 830: Foreign Currency Matters - Accounting and reporting requirements for foreign currency transactions and the translation of financial statements from foreign currency to reporting currency.
  • ASC 810: Consolidation of multiple entities
  • Strong exposure to managerial and cost accounting for manufacturing
